5 reasons to join your local UIMM

Join UIMM and benefit from local support to develop your business and increase your competitiveness.
1 – You are heard and defended
By joining UIMM and its network, you can make your voice heard. UIMM listens to you, relays your concerns and needs, draws on your knowledge of the ground and of the company, and defends your interests as business leaders. It negotiates industry agreements and national sectoral collective agreements on your behalf and exercises its influence in local and regional administrations and in Parliament, including at European level. You contribute to defending the interests of your profession. You can actively participate in the life and development of your local UIMM by attending its annual general assembly and using its services, but also by joining its board of directors.
2 – You benefit from recognised expertise
Do you have questions about employment contracts, retirement, trade union rights or remuneration? Are you unsure how to implement a new law? By joining your local UIMM, you can benefit from expert legal advice on labour and security law. The lawyers in the UIMM network advise member companies on a daily basis and help them understand legal and tax rules, labour and social security law, as well as regulations in the areas of training, working conditions, safety and environment law. This gives you access to ongoing, responsive support to ensure the development of your business.
3 – You are part of a professional and structured network
Joining UIMM means becoming part of an effective professional network covering the whole country. You are no longer isolated; you can meet and exchange ideas with other member industrialists in your region who share your values and face similar challenges. The regional UIMM is a place for member companies to share, discuss, obtain information and take action.
4 – Find the skills you need
Are you interested in setting up a lifelong education or apprenticeship programme? UIMM can assist you with local services, including financing for these training programmes. Because skills and human resources management is fundamental to the smooth running of your business, UIMM has developed a range of tailor-made industrial training courses through its network of training centres located close to your business. It helps you to develop your employees’ skills and recruit new talent.
5 – Support for your industrial development
We monitor the identification and use of growth drivers that enable your long-term economic development: industrial performance, innovation, training, quality, digital and environmental transition, and corporate social responsibility (CSR). Thanks to our network of ‘industrial advisors’, you benefit from professional support and assistance to develop your industrial performance.

How to become a member of the UIMM?
